CAMP BOYLE

The 62th International Camporee is being held on June 1, 2, 3, 2007 at the Scouts Canada property called Camp Boyle.  The camp is located to the West of Summerland, British Columbia and is accessible on paved roads (see map).  Camp Boyle is the crown jewel of the Okanagan South, Scouts Canada properties and features many camping luxuries such as: running potable water, hot-showers, some flush toilets, lots of pit toilets, shaded private campsites, fire pits and picnic tables at most sites.  The large meadow will be suitable for a game of baseball so bring your gloves, bats and balls if you wish.

The cost of registration will be $10.00 per person.  The price includes a badge (patch),  and a Saturday evening dinner, non-registered persons may join us for dinner at a cost of $5.00 per person.  Registrations are due to the registrar by May 25, 2007.    Registrations can be faxed and payment mailed or brought to the camp.  Please help us to run a well-organized camp and have your numbers pre registered prior to the camp.

Camp Check in will be from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Friday June 1st  .  You will be directed to the campsite on a first come first serve basis.  There will be a leader and volunteer meeting at 9:00 pm Friday June 1st  in the main cookhouse.  Friday night scouts will be on their own to set up, trade badges, visit the canteen, tour the camp or just visit.  Scouts will be placed into temporary patrols for the Saturday activities and will be returned prior to preparing for Campfire.  The camp will officially end following the closing ceremonies Sunday June 3 at 11:00 am.
